Try it right here

Go on, move the notes.

This is how Ripply feels on a real page. Select any text to highlight it or add a note, just like the extension. Drag notes anywhere, resize them from the corner, recolour, lock or delete them. Open the Ripply tab on the right edge for the sidebar: this page's highlights and the defaults for your next ones. Switch pages to see Ripply on a chat, a blog or docs.

All together

The goal is to remember what you read. Use a mix of underlines, boxes, brush marks and coloured words so the page is scannable. Eighteen styles, eight colours, and the page's text never moves.

Arrows that point the way.

Every note can point at its highlight with one of these, thin, regular or thick, or with no line at all.

Features

A little notebook for your entire internet.

How it works

Three steps. No homework.

  1. 1

    Add Ripply

Install it from the Chrome Web Store or Firefox Add-ons and pin it to your toolbar.

  2. 2

    Highlight & scribble

Select text on any page, pick a colour, add a note.

  3. 3

    Come back anytime

Your highlights reappear on the page, in any browser you're signed in to, and everything lives in one dashboard.

Sidebar & dashboard

Everything you saved, one tab away.

The Ripply sidebar open beside a Wikipedia article: the page's highlights listed at the top, the highlight style picker below, and an Open Dashboard button.

The sidebar, on every page

  • Press Alt+R (⌥R on a Mac) or click the tab on the right edge of any page.
  • Every highlight on this page, with its note. Click one to jump to it.
  • Set the style, colour and note theme for your next highlights.
  • Show or hide all notes on the page, and follow the page's light or dark look.

The dashboard, for all of them

  • Search every highlight, note and site with ⌘K.
  • Collections, tags and sites in the sidebar; stats for the week.
  • Open a PDF in Ripply and highlight it like any page.
  • Export as Markdown, HTML, JSON or plain text, to an Obsidian vault, or straight to Notion.
The Ripply dashboard: All highlights, With notes and Stats in the left column, three summary cards, a colour filter, and highlights grouped by page.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Is Ripply free?

Yes. Highlights, notes, search and sync are free with no limits, and that isn't changing. Plus (₹199 a month or ₹1,499 a year in India; $4.99 a month or $39 a year elsewhere) unlocks every note theme. Pro (₹399 a month or ₹3,499 a year; $9.99 a month or $79 a year) adds export and new features as they land.

How do I pay?

From the Account page in the extension. In India, Razorpay takes UPI AutoPay and cards and prices include GST. Everywhere else, Paddle takes cards and PayPal and adds local tax at checkout. The payment page opens in a new tab; Ripply never sees your card or UPI details.

How do I cancel?

Open Account → Plan in Ripply and choose Cancel. You keep what you paid for until the end of the current month or year, then drop back to Free. Your highlights and notes stay; notes on a paid theme switch to the default paper. You can also cancel the mandate in your UPI app or from your Paddle receipt.

Can I get a refund?

If you paid for a year and change your mind within 7 days of that first payment, email us and we refund it in full. Monthly plans aren't refunded, since you can cancel before the next charge. Details are in the refund policy.

Do I need an account?

No. Guest mode works fully on your device. Sign in only if you want sync, or a paid plan, which has to be tied to an account.

Which browsers are supported?

Chrome and Brave from the Chrome Web Store, and Firefox from Firefox Add-ons. Other Chromium browsers such as Edge and Arc install from the Chrome Web Store too, but we test on Chrome, Brave and Firefox. Safari is next.

Will my highlights break if a page changes?

Ripply re-anchors highlights to the text, so small edits to a page usually don't matter.
